Deployment and Implementation Projects Project : Deployment and
Implementation Project Details : It involves multi-user, allowing small networks to be established in the distributorships, production support, maintenance & enhancement of existing Billing programs and the support of other systems. Complete deployment of desktop system, implementation of corporate system, implementation of corporate system This is a lifetime project. The tasks involve the analysis of the databases and files containing relevant information and enhancement of the existing programs as per the user requirements. Environment : Bahn, JD Edwards, Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP
Conversion Projects Project Details: This project was aimed at developing programs to replace the function of the DB2 Propagator/Extract and in the maintenance to some of the programs that were affected by way of this migration. The existing data residing on DB2 is obtained to Oracle through a gateway and data exists only as Oracle views for the Client Server programs. The front-end programming was done in Power builder. Creation of new Oracle tables in the test region and loading them, support in testing the existing Client server applications were part of the Project related activities. The programs were designed to download required data from various IMS databases and write them on to flat files that were then loaded on to the Oracle database via the SQL Loader utility. The databases were spread over three subsystems ITA, ITT and IOC respectively. In all 142 extract files were created to download data for 142 Oracle tables. This was an onsite project executed as part of the SA-063 contract at Company's premises. Some modifications by way of enhancement of certain programs with relation to the migratory requirements were done. Six people were part of the project with three people working onsite and three people working offshore. Environment : IBM Mainframe S/390, COBOL, VSAM, JCL, IMS, TELON,ORACLE, SQL LOADER

Project Details : The company is one of the largest publishers in India. They have one of the largest retail networks in India. Karin IT has deployed a company wide ERP Solution for the Company. The solution connects various branches spread across the nation and takes care of the functional requirements both at the branch level and at the corporate level. The system is essentially a client/server-based solution to provide integration of information over a common database with expandability and upgradeability provisions. The system has been web enabled and covers all most all the modules mentioned. In addition there is a groupware based Publication system and also a library package. United Electrical Industries is a manufacturing unit into the production of electric meters and motor starters and the related components. The Company is the the SOLE supplier to the entire state of Kerala.The project involves automatic all the departments of the company. The various departments are Finance, Stores and Purchase, Sales ands Marketing, Production, HR, Time office and Payroll. Environment : Windows NT 4.0, Power Builder 6.5/ PFC, MS SQL Server.
A part of complete Enterprise Resource Planning, the system monitors from the Request for purchase of materials all through the stores management. The integrated system with updation on stock and on-line integration with the Finance module, Production modules. The system divides into two parts as purchase part and stores management. The purchase starts with the Request, Enquiry, Quotation, and Purchase Order etc. The stores comprises of GRN, GRIR, Invoices, Stock transfer etc. The system aims to enforce system, methodology and correct practice in material procurement and management. The system follows the ISO standard report formats and procedures. Environment : Windows NT 4.0, Power Builder 6.5/ PFC, MS SQL Server.
